Star Trek Stars!

Generally, the stars spoke on stage for a little while, then answered questions from the audience. Frankly, I think the fans care more about Star Trek than most of the actors, who are generally more interested in talking about their upcoming projects than what they were doing 25 years ago!
You can see how proud Sir Patrick Stewart was to be standing right next to ME! This shot cost $200. Still photography was allowed. I was a bit disappointed that the celeberties didn't talk more about Star Trek Mostly they wanted to talk about their upcoming projects - plays, and so on.

Michael Dorn playing with Patrick Stewart's jacket that auctioned for $10,000. Brent Spiner, who played the android "Data," clowning with Patrick Stewart. Brent is a born comedian, and seemed to enjoy picking on "Lord Stewart." Walter Koenig ("Chekov") seemed affected by a very rough year.

This was Brent making one of a series of faces and poses strictly for cameras. Brent said he can't remember very much about the Star Trek Next Generation years. Large projection TVs enabled everyone to see better. John DeLancie - another animated personality.

John played the recurring character "Q" on Next Generation. One could see a similarity between John and Q's personalities. George Takei, who played "Sulu" on Star Trek, the original series. George seemed strong and healty, and perhaps more in tune with the fans than most of the celeberties.

George talked about his family's experiences in a wartime internment camp. He also related his joy at a recent California court decision strking down a ban on same-sex marriage. I was struck at what a great speaking voice he has. Leonard Nimoy, "Spock," started out a bit slowly, but seemed to gain energy from the crowd.

I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life as when Shatner and Nimoy were roasting each other! Like most of the stars, Shatner spoke more of his current and upcoming projects than the past glories of Star Trek. It's good to see Bill Shatner ("Captain Kirk") looking so healthy and full of energy! Jonathan Frakes - "Commander Reiker" mostly discussing his future projects.

... Demonstrating his "Reiker swagger." Frakes and the gorgeous Jeri Ryan Jeri answered a series of fan questions about her "Seven of Nine" costume and rumors of nude set parties. Every Star Trek series had a "babe," and Jeri was the babe on Voyager

Here you can see the moment where Jeri and I shared a moment of mutual attraction. ... Robert Picardo of "Voyager," with Ethan Phillips (Neelix) and Tim Russ (Tuvok) Voyager crew reunion. Garrett Wang, on the left, is a gifted mimic! Robert Picardo is a wonderful comedian.

Patrick Stewart, William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy all together on stage. A surprise treat - Richard Hatch, Tom Zarek of Battlestar Gallactica, had an autograph table. I got a signed picture for my son. I was glad for the opportunity to tell Mr. Hatch that I considered Battlestar Gallactica to be the best TV ever made.
